Methaemoglobinaemia

Methaemoglobinaemia is a clinical condition characterized by an elevated concentration of methemoglobin in the red blood cells. Methemoglobin is a form of hemoglobin where the iron within the heme group is in the ferric (Fe3+) state rather than the normal ferrous (Fe2+) state.
