No medical, legal, or billing advice

MedCoder.ai is a reference and administrative decision-support tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, clinical diagnosis, or a legal coding audit, and it does not guarantee reimbursement. Verify complex claims against the official national codebooks and your payer’s policies.

No submission of PHI

Do not submit protected health information or confidential patient data. The tools require diagnosis codes only.

Code set provenance and MedCoder’s own content

ICD-10-CM is published jointly by CMS and the CDC; ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS Level II and MS-DRG are published by CMS. All are works of the US federal government. CPT is a registered trademark of the American Medical Association and is not reproduced on this site. The site’s design, software, editorial descriptions, curated groupings, cross-references, and the selection and arrangement of its compiled pages are the property of MedCoder.ai.

Automated access

Truthfully identified search and answer-engine crawlers that honor robots.txt are welcome. Bulk replication of the site, scraping that disguises itself as human or as another party’s crawler, ignoring robots.txt exclusions, or republishing a substantial portion of these pages — including to populate a competing code-lookup product — is prohibited without written permission.
