  5. Perform pre-dilation balloon angioplasty if the lesion is highly calcified or tight (optional but included).
  6. Advance and deploy a self-expanding or balloon-expandable stent across the lesion under fluoroscopic guidance.
  7. Perform post-dilation angioplasty within the stent to optimize expansion and ensure adequate wall contact.
  8. Perform a completion angiogram to assess distal flow, vessel patency, and the absence of complications like dissection.

  • Work for traversing the lesion and catheterization is inherent to the code and not separately reported.
