Policy research — not a coverage determination
Search the National Coverage Determinations in the Medicare NCD Manual (Pub. 100-03). Type a section number such as 190.22, a chapter such as 190, a word from a title or the policy text, or an ICD-10-CM code such as E11.9 to find the laboratory sections whose published code list names it.
Search by NCD section number, chapter, title or policy text, or by ICD-10-CM code. HCPCS codes are not matched: the NCD Manual carries almost no codes, and no code-to-policy relationship is inferred from a title.
A section found here is a policy to read, not a coverage decision: whether a service meets its requirements is decided against the policy text and the claim’s facts, and finding no section does not mean none applies.
CMS publishes ICD-10-CM code lists for 23 laboratory NCD sections (190.12 to 190.34). Those are the only sections a code search can find; for every other section MedCoder holds no published list, which says nothing about what CMS has or has not published for it.
